Abstract Sensitivity analysis theo~r is essentially based on perturbation theories. It is developed in order to evaluate the sensitivity of a system response to variaations in the system parameters. Some of the more importtant applications of the sensitivity analysis theory are the criticality calculations. In reactor calculations viewpoiilt it is useful to know how sensitive the computed eigenvalues are to unncertainties in the input cross-sections. This sensitiivity can be determined by considering the cross-section uncertainties as perturbations. TIle small changes of the absorber cross-section occured by a movement of conntrol rods in reactor core can he tRken as perturbations to the system. Hence, we can use this method to derive sensitivities of eigen-values and power densities due to variation in the absorber concentration in the reactor . |
