Abstract Egyptian honeybee activity either into muddy pipe hives or wooden modified ones as well as Langstroth hives was studied from the biological and ecological view for two years (1985/1986, 1986/1987) at the farm of Agriculture College, Minia University, El-Minia, Egypt. The investigation involved the following points: I- Activities of Egyptian and Carniolan honeybees in the different types of hives during the first season (1985/1986). II- Activities of Egyptian and Carniolan honeybees in the different types of hives during the second season (1986/1987). III- The relationship between brood rearing activity and collected pollen in the different types of the hives (first season, 1985/1986). IV. the relationship between brood rearing activity and beehives microclimate(relative humidity and temperature) of the different types of hives (first season, 1985/1986). |
