Abstract In view of many probIemes for maintaining effctive cntro controI programe of the cotton pests, the present study was carried out aiming to expIore further the yoIe of the IGR compounda (difIubenzuron, Doco-439 and Dowco-401 which couId partiaIiy soIve some of the probiems of certain cotte insects. Data obtained throughout this study eIacioats. Further the response cotton leafworm, S. IittorIis to the mouIting disrupting com-pounds from either toxicoIgicaI or bioIogicaI view points. 1- LABOrATORY EXPERIMENTS: A- EGG treatments (Ovicidal activity) For studying the ovicidal activity of the tested IGRs, cotton leafworm egg-masses ( 12,24 and 48-hr.old) were tested in the laboratory adopting topical and diF99mg technigues. Results and conclussions could be summmarized as follows:- Diflubenzuron ( prl-6040) showed the highest oviicidal activity followed by DOwco-439 While DOWCO-401. |
