Abstract

On the light of the obtained results, the following points were arised: 1-The benefit of optimizing plant density for Grande Naine banana plants to be applied for obtaining higher production.
2-The beneficial of using citric and ascorbic acids instead of auxins for improving weight and characteristics of bunch .
3-The important role of using the biofertilizer yeast on stimulating growth, nutritional status of plant and fruiting of Grande Naine banana plants.
4-Variations on the studied characters were slight between plant densities two and three suckers / hill, between using 0.25 and 0.5 % citric acid and between application of 20and 40 g yeast /plant. Therefore, the recommended plant density, antioxidants and yeast application were three suckers per hill, using 250 ppm ascorbic acid and the addition of 20 g yeast/ plant.
5-Putting in our consideration yield and bunch characteristics, it could be concluded that the overall treatment which involved the selection of three suckers /hill, spraying ascorbic acid at 250 ppm and soil addition of 20 g yeast plant is proved to be a good recommendation to obtain high yield and to improve bunch characteristics of Grande Naine banana plants grown under Assiut environmental conditions
