Abstract
The main purpose of this thesis is to study the infinitesimal holonomy group here after denoted by(i.h.g)in general relativity hall and kay [ii]showed how the (i.h.g)is related to the petrov classification of the weyi tensor and segre classification of the ricci tensor smith [21]studied the (i.g/h)for einstein-maxwell space -times.in this work we give a review of hall and kay [11]study on (i.h.g)a detailed study of the results of smith[21]is given our main results is the study of (i.h.g)for space-times of godel-type metric.
