Abstract

-The results of chemical composition of three marine- fish wastes of telapia, mullet and shrimp indicated that the major portion of fish-wastes was moisture content which accounted be 67to77% for the three tested samples, while the minor part (solid materials) which represent about one third of its total fresh weight. It is interest to notice that crude protein of mullet was the highest value followed by shrimp and tilapia (68.1, 40.4 and 34.5%aqs dry weight basis), respectively.
-The results indicated also that Mullet wastes contained the highest amount of crude fat (11.3%) followed by shrimp (701%) and the lowest amount (4.4%)was in tilapia as dry weight basis. In contrast tilapia wastes was contained the highest level of total ash (8.4) followed by Mullet (3.8%) and Shrimp (2.2%)
- Mullet wastes are the lowest C/N value (0.25) while the other two wastes have C/N values more than recorded for Mullet wastes
