Abstract 1 – The best race for royal jelly production under the condition of Middle Egypt was the first hybrid Carniolan bee, followed by the Italian race, Carniolan race and first hybrid Italian bee. 2 – Supplying of pollen supplement improved the production of royal jelly and it’s content of protein and lipid. 3 –The highest quantity of royal jelly was produced in summer. 4 – Double grafting method contributed in significant increase of the quantities of the produced royal jelly. 5 – The highest acceptance percentage of the grafted queen cell cups was recorded in queenless cell builder colonies, the highest quantities of royal jelly were produced in restricted queen cell builder colonies, however the longest period of stability of production were in free queen cell builder colonies. 6 – The content of moisture, ash and acidity were increased with extension of storage time, while the contents of protein, lipid and sugars were decreased. |
