Abstract

Fish is among the most important source of protein for human consumption; thus the study of the signs and lesions, induced by fish diseases, helps the protection of our national economy.Fish diseases constitute one of the most important problems and do not occur as single caused event, but are the end result of interactions of microorganisms, the fishes and environment Clostridium perfringens reported as fish pathogens Therefore, the aim of the work is to assess the incidence of clostridium perfringens toxin in processed and unprocessed fishes. To achieve that, the following will be done:A total of two hundreds and fifty random fish samples of processed and unprocessed fishes were collected from different localities and from different hygienic levels in Zagazig governorate markets.Out of 100 processed fish samples 7 samples canned mackerel with zero% of incidence of C. perfringens the same result found in canned salmon while Renga out of 25 samples 20 samples +ve for C. .
