Abstract The Study of the physics of the troposphere and its impact on geodetic measurements at seismically active areas in Egypt is very important . One of the main tool for carrying out the geodetic measurements is the global positioning system (GPS). This technique was extensively utilized in the surveying and recent crustal movements in Egypt since 1997. Therefore ,the main factor which affect accuracy of GPS measurements is the temperature of the atmosphere and its impact on the deviation and dispersion of satellite signals. It was necessary to examine the ways of measuring devices and temperature values at various heights for aperiod of one year. Three areas were selected in Egypt for carrying out this study. The first Aswan ,the second at helwan and the third at matrouh areas. |
