Abstract The Field Of Respiratory Care Has Qreatly Developed In The Past Decade And Intermittent Positive Sressure In Respiratory Therapy. Consequently, The Necessary Level Of Competence Of Nurses Had To Be Raised Considerably. from the Intensive Care Unit Statistical Records, Of The Alexandria Main University Hospital, It Was Noted That The Patients Who Need Respiratory Care Make Up A Major Work Load And That The Mortality Of Mechanically Ventilated Pat- Ients Was 53% Of The Total Mortality During 1981. Therefore, The Need Was Felt To Study A Problem Of This Calibre for the benefit and welfare of such critically ill patients and for better utilization of the intensive care unit facilities. |
