Abstract

The effective treatment of hypertension requires a life longcommitment to therapy and life style modifications. Nursing interventions focus on teaching the patient about the disease, its associated risk factors, and importance of adherence to the medical regimen. Although drug therapy plays a central role in hypertension management, effective treatment also relies on life style modification to reduce major risk factors. The nurse focuses patient teaching on smoking cessation, diet modification, weight control, exercise, and stres management The present study was conducted to determine the effect of walking and breathing exercise on recovery outcomes of patients with hypertension.
