Abstract The purpose oC this thesis is to caracteristics oC the hydraulic jump reversed by the crossing jet in rectangular horizontal open channel. The jet comes out oC a rectangular slot across the whole width oC the channel having its Clow Crom the upstream Clow. In the study theCollowing parameters are considered: the angle oC inclination oC the jet Crom vertical , the width oC crossing jet and the distance oC jet Crom a contracted section. Experimental investigation is carried out, and best inclination angle is Cound and also the best position and width oC the slot to minimize the length oC the jump and to control its position . Analytical analysis is given to get the value oC thejet Clow. From the experimental data the correction Cactors Cor the analytical study are given. Also solved example are presented to show the recommended results are used. |
