- This study proves the efficient role of ankle arthroscopy in the diagnosis of certain obscure ankle disorders particularly talar dome ulcers.
- Ankle arthroscopy plays mainly a therapeutic role in the management of various ankle disorders.
- ankle arthroscopy plays an important role in the treatment of both soft tissue and bony impingement syndromes.
- Arthroscopy produces permenant relieve for the patient complaining of loose bodies in the ankle.
- Synovectomy of the ankle joint in a rheumatoid patient produces temporary relief of the patient symptoms. The joint of the rheumatoid ankle patient should not be destroyed to benefit from synovectomy; otherwise, arthrodesis would be the answer.
- Early mobilization is highly recommended for the patient undergoing ankle arthroscopy in the post operative period.
