Abstract in the presence of different inorganic substances(1-5).Po1y (methy1 methacry1ate) has been prepared un- der various conditions of monomer, initiator, tempera- ture and in different media of oata1ysts~6) It was pre-viousl.y found that natura1 sand, (7) soda 11me g1ass, (1-2)soms oxides of iron, copper, coba1t, nicke1, chromium, manganese, titanium, zinc and a1uminium p1ay a ro1e in the pol.ymerization process. It has a1so been found that the partic1e size of such substanoes affects both the conversion and average mo1ecu1ar weights of the po1y- mere obtained.(S) W1U:l..~1!I et a1~ (9) found that the rate of po1ymeri- zation of methy1 methacry1ate in benzene in presenceof 2,2-azobisieobutyronitri1e decreased in the prrgence of aotive carbon, whi1e Humme1(10) found that the reac- tion wae oata1yzed by it. |
