Abstract
1- Study of the spatial and temporal variations of the
freshwater snails and the physicochemical factors affecting the
distribution of these snails in Ismailia Governorate.
2- Study of the incidence of natural infection of these snails with
different trematode larvae and the possible temporal variation in
the prevalence of cercariae in the molluscan species occurring in
Ismailia Governorate relative to environmental variations.
Moreover, this study constitutes the first contribution to our
knowledge of the transmission dynamics of larval trematodes in
this area.
3- Investigation of the effect of some plant extracts on some
biological and biochemical aspects of some snail vectors.
4- Molecular studies aimed at:
a- Study Interspecific variation at the genetic level between
different species of snails.
b- Detection of infected Biomphalaria alexandrina with
Schistosoma mansoni in the early patent period.
