Abstract \The wave generation of electromagnetic and surface wave due to nonlinear interaction of incident radiation with a thin inhomogeneous cold and warm plasma layer is investigated. The quasilinear stage of the electron-ion two-stream (Buneman’s) instability is also investigated. In addition, a solution of the magnetic diffusion equation of plasma is obtained. In CHAPTER 11, nonlinear interaction of obliquely incident radiation with surface wave (both of P-polarization) in an inhomogeneous thin cold plasma layer placed in a time -dependent magnetic field is investigated. Current velo- city, electric and magnetic field components, and amplitudes of the generated waves are obtained. The magnetic field has an amplification effect when it oscillates with frequen- cy equal to the sum of the interacting waves. The cases of low dense plasma and normal incidence are also discussed. In CHAPTER ITT investlgation is made for the genera- tion of P-polarized surface waves due to nonlinear interac- tion of two simultaneously incident radiation of S-polari- zation onto a narrow inhomogeneous cold plasma layer. |
