Abstract
Analysis of Some Selected Drugs
Used in the Management of Inflammation
And Musculoskeletal Disorders
The thesis comprises four main parts:
Part I
This part contains an introduction about the chemical names, structures, physical properties and pharmacological action of the studied drugs. It also contains literature review for the reported methods
analysis for the selected drugs in biological fluids as well as
pharmaceutical dosage forms.
Part II
It deals with the application of certain color reactions in
spectrophotometric determination of some non-steroidal
inflammatory drugs and skeletal muscle relaxants . This part comprises two chapters.
Chapter 1:
It describes the development of a spectrophotometric method
determination of etodolac via ion-pair formation reaction with Safranin, the concentration range covered in this chapter is 2.5-12.5 .igmL’.
A study of all factors that affect the reaction was carried out.
reaction was applied for the assay of etodolac in its tablets.
