Abstract The purpose of our study was to compare the effects of sevoflurane and isoflurane on the renal and hepatic functions and the level of circulating fluoride icon concentrations during general anesthesia with both agents. In conclusion, the effects of sevoflurane anesthesia on renal and hepatic functions, as assessed by routine renal and hepatic function tests and more sensitive tests, we similar to those of isoflurane. Thus, sevoflurane is considered as safe as isoflurane during surgical anesthesia and can be used for patients with renal or hepatic impairment. |
