A total of 200 random samples of chicken meat , chicken nuggets, icken panee and chicken luncheon (50 of each) were collected from fferent supermarkets in Alexandria governorates. The collected samples ere subjected to bacteriological examination for detection, of terpathogens and to evaluate the use of acetic and lactic acid solutions ith different concentrations as bacterial decontaminator. These solutions ere applied directly on chicken meat samples and also, applied after ificial contamination of the chicken meat with Salmonella enteritidis
X I &) 1g. and Camp piobacter jejuni (5 X 1 0) Ig. which were isolated id identified in the present work. The obtained results revealed the bliowing:
i-Bacteriological examination:
1-Salmonella was isolated was the meaii values of 4 X 102, 3 X 102
3 X 1 02 and I X 102 from chicken meat, chicken nuggets, chicken pane d chicken luncheon, respectively. The mean value of Salmonella was duced in treated chicken meat ‘from 2 X103 to I X 102 1g. at oncentration 3.5 % of each acetic and lactic acids and to zero at a oncentration 2.5 % of both acid solution. The incidence of Salmonella nteritidis was 18 % and 2 % for chicken meat and chicken panee,
