Abstract

The aim of this study was to find out the possible role of leptin, TNF-α and ILL- α in development of type 2 diabetes (both obese and non-obese) and to study their levels in obese non-diabetic subjects and their correlation with insulin resistance.
The application of modern methods in molecular neurobiology to the identification of these molecular components of the leptin-signaling pathway could form the basis for new pharmacological approaches to the treatment of obesity and other nutrition disorders.
