Abstract
This work ws carried out to study th ffct of Equine piroplasmosis on the picture of sume trace elements in equine serum.
The study was divided into two main categories :
I. Studying the clinical findings of the disease in 54 naturally infected donkeys in the Province of Assiut.
II.Experiment]. part :
Three experimtnts were carried out.
A— Cortisone injection experiment :
A group of donkeys consisted of 6 donkeys, five of them were injected with Cortisone Decdrone phosphate) 8 mg in 2 ml Solution deeply i,m. daily for five days, One of the 6 donkeys was lcft as
control. It was injected 2 ml s2line.
B- Splenectomy experiment :
— A group of 5 donkeys were splenectomized.
— One donkey was left un1enectciizd as a
control.
C- Experimental infection of non splenctomized donkeys:
A group of 6 donkeys were divided into 2
