Abstract
The fibula is an expandable bone some benign bone tumors as
the GCT & ABC, which are known for their relative high incidence
of local recurrence can be treated by excision of this bone. Resection
of the tumors of the proximal fibula entails scarification of the
common peroneal nerve to obtain an adequate margin. Other
important structure are the lateral stabilizing structures of the knee.
Throughout the literature several authors stress on the benefit of
repairing the sacrificed lateral stabilizers, others showed equivalent
outcome without the need for reconstruction.
