Abstract

In the present study, 12 Dyna Helix implants were inserted in ten patients. Ages of the patients participating in this study ranged from 25-45 years, four of which were males. There were no contraindications for surgical intervention in any of the patients.
In all patients the implants were placed immediately into fresh extraction sockets, in anterior-premolar maxillary area.
This study was conducted to clinically and radiographically evaluates the use of free autogenous periosteal graft for primary coverage over immediate implants augmented with Demineralized freeze-dried bone allograft (DFDBA).
This study was conducted through one group composed of 12 patients, where the fixtures were inserted into the fresh extraction sites with application of (DFDBA) as a grafting material, then covered by the free autogenous periosteal graft which was harvested from the palate.
All the cases were followed up immediately, 1 month, 3 months, and 6 months after implant insertion.
The results were assessed clinically and radiographically. Both the donor site and the recipient sites were evaluated clinically, the recipient sites showed uneventful healing with various degrees where 8 cases showed complete epithelialization of the graft and the other 4 showed peripheral epithelialization with minimal screw exposure preserving the attached gingival tissues and the interdental papilla. The donor sites showed healing within 2-3 weeks postoperatively.
