So the aim of this work is a trial to obtain a natural substances with cytotoxic acitivity as antimicrobial from plants and safe for human . To achieve this goal sex plants were chosen as a source of natural cytotoxic substances to microbes, ginger, fennel, caraway, parsley, myrrh and eucalyptus. The plant parts of the chosen plants were extracted with ethanol70% and the solvent was evaporated and the residues were tested as antimicrobial agents. The essential oils of the plants parts were extracted by water distillation and the chemical composition was studies using Gc/Ms . The resulted essential oils were tested for its cytotoxic activity against 6 strains of bacteria and 5 strains of fungi. The safety of the studied essential oils as antimicrobial agents were studied on rats aftar the intraperitoneal injection with the essential oils for four weeks in dialey dose of 100 mg/ 100gm b.wt. for all studies essential oils except myrrh essential oil in daily dose of 70 mg / 100 gm b.wt.
