Abstract
SUMMARY
The great technological achievement. Which much of it based on the wide use of electricity, lead to the increase of electromagnetic waves pollution. These waves constitute a risk to human, animals and plants health.
Electromagnetic waves were emitted from the high power lines and electrical home appliances. A great number of studies accompanied by the wide spread of electromagnetic waves, demonstrated the harmful effect of these waves on general health, which started from the headache and ended by an induction of cancers. The international conferences which presented for studying this subject proved that there is a great harmful effect on general health especially when the values increased over the international safety measures. And recommended that much studies should be achieved to know the effect of these waves on the long run.
For this our research aimed to study the biochemical effect of these waves on the antioxidant defense system in both blood and liver, the curative effect of zinc as one of major antioxidants in the body, also the delayed effect of these waves on liver and blood in rats was lightened in our research.
