Abstract This thesis aims to assess the impact of planning non-conventional power sources, that are presented here by wind turbine generators ( WTGs ), with electrical power systems. Load forcasting, assessment of wind farm units ( WFs ) and electrical transmission systems planning with and without WTGs are the main topics affecting this issue. An artificial neural network ( ANN ) with a feed forward back-propagation algorithm is modified and discussed as a modren technique in long-term load forecasting. This technique depends on the historical data of the studied electrical network. |
