Abstract
The aim of this study to evaluate the laboratory bactericidal effect of some commercial chemical disinfectants (Cidixin , lodophore 200 , Lysoformin® 3000 and TH4+) in absence and presence of organic matter, which are available in the Egyption market to recommend the proper concentration of disinfectants and time of application to be used for prevention and control of some bacterial pathogens (Staphylococcus aureus , Streptococcus fecalis , Escherichia coli 078 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ) of veterinaiy importance, In vitro.
The obtained results revealed followings:
7.1 Cidixin
7.1.1 Effect of cidixin in the absence of a source of organic matter:
Cidixin at a concentration of 2.5% (the recommended concentration by the producer) had a bactericidal effect 100% on Staphylococcus aureus
Streptococcus fecalis , Escherichia coli 078 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa after exposure times 20 , 10 , 10 and 20 minutes respectively.
