Abstract

This study was carried out to investigate the prevalence of zoonotic mycotic ctions associated with cutaneous manifestation. Farmers, herdsmen, pet owners, .neir families and visitors are known to be a group of special risk to zoonoses.
The opportunity of exposure of animals and man to the different species of athogenic fungi associated with cutaneous manifestation was estimated by mycological
ration of hair samples and skin scrapings collected from 185 clinically infected attle, 620 apparently healthy animals (140 from cow, 60 from buffaloes, 200 from
p, 75 from goats, 50 from equines, 55 from dogs and 40 from cats) and 127 from iman beings suffered from clinical skin lesions. These samples were collected from ‘txandria Behera and kafr E1-Sheikh Provinces.
results revealed the followings:
Clinically infected cattle:
The isolated fungi were T. verrucosum (48.65%), T. mentagrophytes (4.32%), r. rubrum (4.32%), T. schoenleinii (3.78%), M. gypseum (1 .62 %), Chr. keratinophilum .49 %), Scopulariopsis spp. (1 .08 %), Candida albicans (8.11 %), Alternaria alternata .O3 %),and Aspergillus spp. (5.41 %), [Asp. flavus (2.70%), Asp. fumigatus (1.62%), p.niger (0.54%) and Asp. terres (0.54%)].
Apparently healthy animals:
The isolated fungi were T. verrucosum (1.43%), T. mentagrophytes (0.71 %), Lbrum (0.71 %), Mgypseum (1.43%), Chr. keratinophilum (5 .71 %), Scopulariopsis
[(4.43 %), Candida albicans (0.71 %), Alternaria alternata (15 .71 %),
