Abstract Prostate cancer is the fourth most common neoplasm worldwide. It is the leading cancer diagnosis and the second most Common cause of cancer related death in men in the united states. In the united states and even world wide prostate cancer has undergone some of the most dramatic swings ever recorded for human malignancy and that was because of the great progress in the investigative tools for diagnosis and staging of prostate cancer. Because of the good prognostic value of localized and early detecting prostate cancer ; the early diagnostic investigative tools of prostate cancer was the main interest of authors of urology and the most common object of many studies in the last few years. Approximately 95% of prostate cancer are adenocarcinomas & it accounts for 85% of non palpable tumors diagnosed on needle biopsies. Although numerous grading systems exist for evaluation of prostatic adenorarcinoma, the Gleason grading system is the most widely accepted. |
