Abstract

Marine salvage is a very high risky business for both salvors and casualty. This is because in most cases the salvors deal with unpredictable problems. In the salvage work, it is very difficult to know where is the next expected casualty, or even how to treat the problem. Salvors, nevertheless, can analyze most of the previous marine casualties which have been covered within a given known area. It becomes, however, a problem for the salvors and this will be reflected drastically on marine life or the maritime people. For the above reasons, the thesis tackles in deep steps of a plan to avoid hard times or even to increase the limit of the disaster.
Marine salvage is, generally, considered as a subject which includes many aspects of marine, naval architecture, mechanical engineering, underwater work, diving, fire fighting and finally the art of a seamanship. As such it could be applied for rescue, towing and cargo handling. Thus, salvage is a combination of many skills of engineering such :is Ihc demonstrated computer work proposed within the context of (lie present thesis. Also, it is considered as a combination of many skills of engineering disciplines that one can not ignore when one deals with any complicated problem in marine salvage.
The thesis, also, concludes steps of what should be done during rescue and salvage operations. Besides, an investigation of strength and stability criteria has also been included. The general conclusion from the demonstrated work is that alt the immediate actions which must be taken by the crew and’salvage team to overcome the disaster. Also, that a good plan if it ere provided, is considered to be of great importance and helpful in restoring the limit of extension of the disa-ster.The thesis has covered the above mentioned problems.
