Abstract

This work was conducted to study the effect of addition of some feed additive robiotics) on productive efficiency parameter (growth performance, carcass trait. d some blood parameter) and economic efficiency parameter (costs, returns, and net ofit, collective and partial efficiency measure) in Japanese quail.
A total number of 420 birds of non sexed three days old Japanese quail chicks
e used in this experiment. The quail chicks were randomly allotted into 7 equal
s (60 bird / group).
The quail chicks of group I were fed the basal diet without supplementation
•“- group).Quail chicks of groups 2, 3 and 4 were fed on the basal diet
I with organic green culture at rate of 0.25, 0.375 and 0.5 g!kg diet,
tively, while the quail chicks of group 5, 6 and 7 were fed the basal diet
)plemented with Biogen at the rate 1, 1.5 and 2 g / kg diet respectively.
We study the variables that affecting productive efficiency which include body
. body weight gain, feed conversion, dressing percentage and relative weights organs and immune response of different feed additives used through
ion of differential leukocytes count (Lymphocytes, Monocytes,
cytes, Basophiles and Eosinophils) and Phagocytic activity and index. Also
termination of the economic efficiency parameters through determination of the
live measures of efficiency: (Total returns / Total cost, Total return / Total
[riable cost, Total return / Total fixed cost, Net profit / Total cost, Net profit / Total
e cost, Net profit / Total fixed cost and Total return / Feed cost). And Partial
easures of efficiency: (Feed additive price I Total cost, Feed additive price / Total
turn, Feed additive price / Total variable cost and Feed additive price / Total fixed
The collected data analyzed economically and statistically through determination correlation matrix and production and costs function in two forms (logarithmic Thear form).
The obtained results can be summarized as the following:
The body weight development was significantly improved during the
st three weeks in all groups supplemented with probiotics, while the final body
iht showed a numerical increase in all groups receiving probiotics when compared
the control one, while group (2), group (4) and group (7) showed a highly
‘icant increase in the body weight.
i YP.k’S su meniaflOn was been noticeCL in
iy weight gain during the first three weeks, but insignificant increase in group (2).
