It is one of the most effective methods of contraception ever developed. Since the period of lactation is a very important period for both mother and child, the method of contraception should be selected carefully so that it may not affect the quantity or quality of milk production. lUD’s can be safely used by breast feeding mothers because they have no adverse effects on lactation. The aim of this study was to compare the complications of Cu T380A in lactating and non-lactating women. The final objective is to see whether lactation would affect any of the complication rates. The work included 200 women attending the family planning clinic of the Shatby University Hospital seeking a contraceptive advice. |
