Abstract This following part dealt with the study area, in terms of its population, urban patterns and recent changes in the area as a background to the in-depth case studies. This part was concluded by a brief summary of the main problematic areas identified concerning the relationship between housing conditions and various land-uses. This chapter begins by considering the main results of studying housing conditions and its relationship with land-uses. Then, the findings of the demographic and— housing situations in Egypt and Alexandria are discussed briefly. This is followed by an evaluation of existing housing conditions in the studyb area as well as various land uses. The final section provides a number of guidlines that can assist in improving housing conditions in Mandara Keble in particular and in other unplanned rapidly growing areas in Egypt in general. |
