Abstract

In this thesis, a modified speed estimation method is proposed for sensor less vector-controlled induction motor drive applications. The proposed method is based on model reference adaptive control (MRAC) technique, that uses the stator current error is represented as a function of first degree of thee stimted speed error. Special attention is paid to the system nonlinearity and parameters mismatch, which directly affect speed estimation accuracy. For this reason, two approaches are used to implement the adaptive mechanism.
