Abstract

One of the basic requirements for reliable mobile communication is to optimize the cell coverage, since hundred percent cell coverage of an area is not possible, the main reason for this problem is the geography of the land to be covered, which causes propagation black spots or coverage holes like shadowing regions in this thesis, we show the possibility of using passive scatterers, to enhance the mobile signal in coverage holes.
