Abstract from January 19BT to March 1986, B123 patients attended the out-patient clinics of Urology Departments in Alexandria Main University Hospital and Damatihour Teaching Hospital. Out of them, 306 patients verge clinically diagnosed as bladder carcinoma (68% schistosomal, 32% non-seen is tonsorial) with general prevalence of 3,77%. Two hundred and seventy-eight bladder cancer patients were admitted for further invest inapt ions and management. The male to female ratio in the schistosoraal bladder cancer patients was 6,2:1, while it was 3.5:1 In the non-schistosomal bladder cancer patients .The maximal frequency of the schistosomal Madder cancer patients (31.7%) occurred in the Gth decade, in contrast to the 7th decade in the non-schistosomal patients (40.8%)- The mean ages o£ male and female patients vece 54-44 and 50.52’ years respect lively In schistosomal bladder cancer patients, while they verge 62.63 and 60,45 years respectively in non-schistosomal cases . |
