There were 48 male patients and 12 female patients.
Fifty three patients were hypertensive, 44 were dyslipidemic, 27 patients were diabetics, 24 patients were smokers and 16 patients were overweight. Only 27 patients had positive family history of ischemic heart disease and 3 patients are exercising on a weekly basis.
All the patients within the study population were subjected to careful history taking, physical examination and primary investigations.
Full echocardiographic study was performed with special emphasis on LV dimensions, systolic function and assessment of segmental wall motion abnormalities. After which the MSCT study was performed, calculation of calcium score followed by non-invasive coronary angiography and LV function assessment.
