Abstract
This present work is carried out to determine experimentally the dynamic characteristics of the non-rolling tyre of two different types of tyres of approximately the same size. one is crossply size 13-560 and the other is radial-ply size 13-145. a measuring technique based on the concept of mobility is used to obtain the damping coefficient and dynamic stiffness. comparisons are then made between the behaviour of the cross-ply and the radial-ply tyre over a range to inflation pressures and preloads. two test rigs are built for that purpose
