Abstract The polymerization reaction of Suspended Polyvinyl Chloride (SPVC) is sensitive for my change in recipe . The use of polymer depends on its physical properties that can be ”changed according to the given recipe. The recipe is the basic element in PVC process. Each recipe has many parameters. An important parameter of these is the suspending agents, which form the monomer DROPlets and prevent the DROPlets coalescence by reducing the energy during the polymerization reaction. Also suspending agents are added to maintain colloidal stability and thermal stability. This study is applied on the four grades of SPVC produced in Egyptian Petrochemical Company which are SPVC that are shoe-grade (SPVC resin K70), pipe grade (SPVC resin E67), bottle-grade (SPVC resin K61) and film-grade (SPVC resin K57) The study aims to s-’ iabmate the effect of changing suspending agents concentrations on the physical properties of P-> final product. Also, to conclude relationships between different parameters that can be to process quality control of the physical properties and study the relations between t specifications and others. The study includes the changing of PVA, Alcotex and Methocel concentrations in both fC Resin K70 and SPVC Resin K67 polymerization. Also, changing Polivic S202, and Versene CA concentrations in both SPVC Resin K57 and SPVC Resin K61 tion and the results were analyzed in each case. |
